A friend at the gym asked me if I had ever taken Sheer NO2 because he knows I’ve experimented plenty in the past with supplements. I decided to take him on and take a look at the website and help in any way possible by providing some insight. Unfortunately though, they don’t really give you much except for a brief description of what it is and plenty of marketing terms and empty promises. I was really hoping to find something that could really help me determine if this really is something that can be effective and safe.
Looking over the pictures the one piece of information I did find useful was the list of ingredients which I will discuss further.
What is Sheer NO2?
Before I continue with the ingredients I do want to look further into what this product really is. The website I was provided with shares that this is the ultimate fuel for your workouts. Developed by Sheer Strength Labs this product is claimed to be used by bodybuilders, athletes, and healthy adults alike to boost muscle growth and even improve the heart. Also, they claim that it can improve blood pressure and immune system as well. This is because the supplement is developed to help your body produce more Nitric Oxide which is known for boosting energy, improving heart health, giving more strength and more.
If it really is effective in boosting nitric oxide then I would agree that it does offer these benefits but unfortunately many of the ingredients which are regularly advertised for this lack the research to prove this. The official websites goes even further by noting that WebMD says that the ingredients in the supplement heal wounds, improve the way kidneys function in removing waste products, and help maintain hormone and immune function. They also note that the ingredients are claimed to be a powerful natural way to boost strength and reps at the gym on TV.
Aside from this the rest of the information is relatively useless as they say no more than any other website for a supplement. Claiming how their ingredients are the best and their product is the number 1 on the market. My favorite claim was that their product is the only popular one that contains L-Citrulline which I find to be far from the truth especially looking back that the different supplements I have taken in the past. So, with that said, it was at this point that I somewhat lost interest in what they had to say.
Ingredients in Sheer NO2
As mentioned above I was happy to see that there is a list of ingredients. This is in a form of an image in the product images. It’s an image of the supplement facts of the supplement and I couldn’t possibly ask for more. It provides me with everything I need to break down the supplement and determine whether it really could be as effective as they claim.
- L-Arginine HCL – 1100 mg per serving – this is an amino acid which is necessary to help make proteins. Though there is consistent evidence that it may improve exercise performance it is still inconclusive and requires more research. It does, however, really improve heart health and is regularly used for various hart issues. There are some possible side effects which are not dangerous that you may want to read further into.
- L-Arginine AKG – 1100 mg per serving – also called Alpha-ketoglutarate, this ingredient is a chemical found in the body. The claims that this ingredient improves athletic performance are linked to studies that show that it can reduce problems associated with too much ammonia in the body but studies have been done only on hemodialysis patients. There are very few studies done to prove that it can really improve athletic performance but it does help with liver problems and aids in the prevention of muscle breakdown.
- L-Citrulline Malate – 600 mg per serving – is an amino acid that is produced by the body naturally as well as found in some fruits such as watermelon. This ingredient has had very little research and it is noted that it may NOT be effective in improving athletic performance. Some use it for improving erectile dysfunction as well as for its possible benefits of opening up veins and arteries thus allowing for better blood flow and reduced blood pressure.
- Pine Bark Extract – 200 mg per serving – this is perhaps the only really proven ingredient which is in this supplement and honestly, the only one I have yet to try. It is proven to improve athletic performance as it increases your endurance. Also, it aids with circulation problems and reduces leg pain and heaviness. Impressively, it also helps with mental function. It also has a long list of other possible benefits which are still being researched and are not yet scientifically proven. It has a short list of possible side effects but nothing serious.
You can click on any of the ingredients to check out where I got some of my research for them from. Although for the most part they are not scientifically backed just yet and are still being researched I do think that there is a possibility that they could be effective as I have taken supplements in the past that had some of these ingredients in different formulas and had results. The one ingredient that does catch my attention is the Pine Bark Extract and I would be interested to see the results from that. With that said, of course there are no artificial colors, starch, yeast, or preservatives. You should take 4 capsules before working out and on the days you do not work out take 4 in the mornings.
Buying Sheer NO2
Buying the product is simple enough. It costs $28.97 per bottle with a $5.95 shipping. They have a 30 day money back guarantee which they claim will return if you do not experience any results, it is backed in their terms and conditions as well but I am always skeptical of these guarantees. They always leave a loophole for themselves to get out of it. One thing to note is that they say you can return the bottle regardless if it is full or empty unlike many other websites that insist that the bottle is not opened to get a refund.
Overall, considering the very low price of this supplement and the fact that I know for a fact that more than half of the ingredients really are effective and safe I think I will most likely tell my friend to give it a try. If he does order I will provide an update on his experience with Sheer NO2 after 30 days of use.
